We’ve come a long way since the real estate melt down nearly eight years ago. We certainly learned some lessons from that — but have we internalized them enough to prevent another Great Recession? Or have we set ourselves up for another crisis, and if so, when will it rear its head? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
Your question on when the next recession will occur assumes that we have left the current recession. By the book definition we may have done so, but that denies the reality that many people experience. In my opinion, the current recession, which is in one of the worst textbook recoveries, if not the worst ever, will deepen by 2018 and may move toward depression if there are not substantial changes in the political policies toward less regulation and more local control.
