Having worked at a highly recognized franchise (Coldwell Banker) and owned and operated another highly recognized franchise (Prudential California), I believe name recognition IS A factor but not an important factor. Buyers and Sellers ultimately do business with people they like or to whom they were referred, not with a franchise or a company name.
