Hi ,A week ago I sent you an email about the TAX increase a friend of mine incurred when her old partner Quit claimed off the title to their home. They had been mutually separated about 20years and all he wanted to do was make her the sole owner of record. The escrow service in Beverly Hills that handled the recording ,cited that since there was no change of ownership as it was one partner quit claiming to the other ( like many husbands and wives, partners etc do) that her property taxes should not have increased. At the time this happened the property was owned free and clear . A few weeks later she got a letter of re-assessment and the State did in fact substantially increase her property taxes. This should not have happened right ? I sent you an email last Saturday then I called someone in your office last Tuesday and the woman said it usually takes 48 hours tor a reply of opinion, but I have not heard from you. I would greatly appreciate your opinion as I know you have legal people on staff and I have enjoyed your newsletters and takes on many subjects .I just thought you could help me ,Yes ?? Thanks so much, John
