A local prosecutor sought an opinion from the Attorney General, claiming the wide range of topics discussed in the closed session exceeded what may be kept confidential from the public. The California Attorney General in an opinion stated closed sessions must be limited to discussions regarding the price and the terms of payment for the purchase of the property, since the public’s access to public information requires all else to be discussed in open sessions.
