An outdoor advertising representative:

  • is a person who arranges the lease or transfer of real property for the placement of and access to advertising displays; and
  • is the employee of a corporation or limited liability company (LLC), or general partner of a partnership, which holds a Department of Transportation outdoor advertising license.

Outdoor advertising representatives who do not otherwise engage in real estate activities requiring a real estate license are not required to obtain a real estate license from the California Bureau of Real Estate (CalBRE).
